Peace of Heart Home (POHH) is a full time residence for young adults with autism located in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL that opened in 2019.
Experienced staff facilitate the residents in daily living skills such as communication, bathing, cooking and other life skills. Enrichment activities such as art, yoga, gardening, time spent in nature, community outings and access to faith related programs are central to our mission that each resident finding a sense of purpose and belonging.
An atmosphere of presumed competence (the belief in the innate intelligence of all people), and an atmosphere of love, happiness, and mutual reciprocity are the key to accomplishing our mission. POHH strives to be a light to our community by both entering into the community and inviting our neighbors in. In order to serve a broader audience and support those living with autism in our community through outreaches, speaking engagements and tours of our home and sustainable gardens. We strongly feel that the shared life is best and that persons with autism have much to teach us if we open our hearts to them.
